Tuvia Ruebner
Tuvia Ruebner was born in 1924 in Czechoslovakia, and in 1941 emigrated to Mandate Palestine as a member of a pioneering youth movement. Ruebner is a prolific poet and the author of a widely acclaimed memoir, published in Hebrew and German. He is the translator of his own works and those of other Hebrew writers, including the Nobel Laureate S.Y. Agnon, into German, and the works of the German masters into Hebrew. He is the recipient of a Konrad Adenauer Award for 2012.
