Sapphire

sapphire is the author of two collections of poetry, American Dreams and Black Wings & Blind Angels, and two bestselling novels, The Kid (2011) and Push (1996). Precious (2009), the film adaption of her novel Push, won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress.
