Andrew Shanks is a retired Anglican priest; once Canon Theologian at Manchester Cathedral; author of scholarly works including, in 2024, Apocalyptic Patience: Mystical Theology / Gnosticism / Ethical Phenomenology; and Sublime Virtue: ‘Sainthood’, as Rendered Problematic by a Dozen Novelists.
