David GervaisDavid Gervais is an Honorary Fellow in English at the University of Reading and, over many years, an editor of The Cambridge Quarterly. He has written widely on English and French literature and on printing. His Literary Englands: Versions of 'Englishness' (Cambridge University Press) includes discussions of modern English poets. He is completing books on Shakespeare, on Racine and on the European novel.
