Mark Dow is the author of Plain Talk Rising (poems) and American Gulag: Inside U.S. Immigration Prisons (California).His nonfiction manuscript Each Thing Starts was a 2021 semi-finalist for the Seneca Review Lyric Essay Book Prize, and his exploration of Beethoven’s Opus 131 from that manuscript is in the Spring 2021 Seneca Review.
