Five Dreams

What loves these things,
seeding them in you
like the white
persistent hands of poppy-sprouts
that tumble with the turned earth -
the home you dream of,
a condition of air
ungraspable as the smell of rain
on bright mornings?
Refracted by shining pavements,
or the tender light
...
A liquid perspective exists in this sky...
