Last year in the cathedrals of Australia I was interested to witness the widespread dismay at the imposition of the new prayer book-apparently against the wishes of some worshippers. . . . It would appear that the worshipper has done all in his or her power to give the new liturgies a fair hearing, and I think there is now a strong reaction as they compare the new with the old and see what is at stake.
