a road turned dirt track running through the trees.
Old frames in backyard wastes stretched from the picture,
on street and field the light still golden haze.
The Giants plotted in their concrete bunkers;
timber and brick withstood conjectured blasts.
The uninstructable from variant centres
flew free as a bird and, throbbing, burst.
