Drawing my own illuminated A
for History homework led me to the Fitz-
william Museum's parchment manuscripts,
whose unknown Latin fascinated me.
Gazing through burnished pillars of an H
at tiny men bent low to cut their corn
or through the arch of O at a green lawn
