John Redmond

Double Felix

Her fur is for
portraiture.

His purr is far
more appreciative.

Rough comparison
effects a pair -

togetherness
as of two paws -

though, side by side,
the compared stare

apart; their pursuits
separate: sloth

(hers); ladybugs,
dust and her (his).

All night he pursues
her - but for fun,

nothing further.
