Three Poems

Jeremy Over
Staying Home Close to Nature

You can see the hunter's heart. He's in the act of peeing.
You can see his penis. An airplane flies across the sky while
a fisherman fishes from a boat. There is also a big tree, a
carob tree; on one side there is a rifle, and on the other, a
fish. Everything happens at the same time. The fisherman
fishes while the airplane is flying overhead and the hunter
is peeing the first letters of the word sardine. All that makes
up a story.

The lake is empty.
It is waiting for fish.

The field keeps very still.
It is waiting for celandine.

It feels the need to work more freely, more gaily -
to 'proliferate'.

I feel in great shape.
