And so we need divide the year,
Also, the human character.
Aries at first, Aries the Ram,
Whose neighbour in the sphere I am:
Taurus who, lowing for Europa,
Must be content with grass for supper;
The other neighbour being Gemini,
Though two might be thought two too many.
Cancer crabs everyone in sight
And therefore has the shortest night,
While Leo tries to be benign
In spite of his ferocious sign.
Virgo, we all know, cannot last
Even until the summer's past;
Her Libra seeks to equalize
With equal balances of lies,
