I can see no evidence that the abandonment of these old books has attracted anybody to church, otherwise than in a spirit of passing curiosity. Our own congregation is if anything growing, and attracts recruits who prefer the Book of Common Prayer to what they have in their own parishes.

We used, after the Minister had quoted the words 'Do this, as oft as ye shall drink it, in remembrance of me', to go and do it; now we are to have, instead, a lot of words, which anybody with any sense of drama could see would defuse the entire proceedings
