From Recapituls

Jacques Jouet

(poem addressed to Madeleine Amable)

Today I came across a fox on
the pavement, not far from the river
I took my time to have a good look

(fox, pavement, time)

it was on the front of a t-shirt
you can’t wait around all day long, but
a real one, it’s quite possible too

(t-shirt, wait, possible)

a real fox, let’s face it, and t-shirts,
they’re both real, percieved from the bust up
from below, like moulds of each other

(real, bust, moulds)

a project: try to see everything.
