ON UNCOVERING A SKELETON

There is private disquiet
in the hollow ruins
of death's anatomy -

a plangent immobility
susceptible to kindness
that makes one rather blunder
into martyrdom, than face dark
enfilading corridors -

a static tranquillity
in such carelessness of bones
put aside from all visionary traffic - waiting
to flower in the light.


SEASCAPE

Impossible to stir far
from the sea, and passion's fine sand.
